Breakfast without Santa

Whack Whack

Year 2 Bexley Trick-Or-Treat Wyatt didn't really know what was
going on. He loved walking around and seeing everyone dressed up - but
I think we only made it to 5 houses.

Stay tuned - it's my goal to get the "whack whack" on
video - hopefully at the zoo this weekend!

Chooo Choo

Last weekend we took a ride on the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. Scenic - not so much - but the train itself was pretty cool. I should have got more pictures - as usual. Sorry Honey - your eyes are closed and Wyatt is in the middle of saying "choo choo" :)

Cars and Trucks and Things that Go

I need to take a step back here and need to make sure I preserve some memories b/c I don't think it came across in my previous post. My son, Wyatt, is infatuated with trucks. Our neighbor was having some work done on her house the other day and we stood outside and he just looked at the truck (while screaming TRUCK) for about 25 minutes - in complete awe. We went to the Children's museum in cincy the other weekend and he went from truck to truck. Cars and Trucks and Things that Go (Richard Scary) is by far his favorite book - literally can sit for an hour - just looking.

mmmm apples

Hi All - sorry I've been blog delinquent. Forgot my camera in the nati the other weekend. My very nice sister let me borrow hers when we went to pick apples last weekend. It's definitely on the list of things to do again - Wyatt loved eating the apples - not sure about the picking :)

Bring it On

We were getting out the fall clothes and had to try on the hat.

Hurricane Bill

Mr. W loved the ocean this trip. He would run towards it screaming and pointing. The waves on a normal, non hurricane, day are pretty tall. SO when mr. bill came rolling through I was terrified - and we were done with the ocean.

Outer Banks

We had a great time with the Dillon fam this past week in NC. One morning we had some photos taken - these 'borrowed' from the website.

Splash Pad

The Cbus crew had some visitors this past weekend - we decided to hit the pool on Saturday. Something about that button (turns on the water spouts) that kids love so much. Here's Eric looking very determined :)

Beep Beep!

This reminded me a lot of Todd and myself in the car at times. As if I needed more evidence for the nature vs. nurture argument.

SHRUX

I'm convinced Wyatt has forgotten every word except for "truck." We were having breakfast the other morning when a loud vehicle drove down the street. He immediately screamed "SHRUX" while pointing towards the street - and then continued for 8 more hours - "shrux - shrux - shrux"

We're working on expanding our repertoire to include car :)

ZipDip

It's really the small things in life - for me it's softserve. Vanilla with sprinkles to be exact - and sometimes when I'm feeling crazy vanilla dipped in cherry. For some reason none of the 3 icecream places in Bexley have softserve - but I'm not bitter. So this is Wyatt enjoying his first cone at the legendary ZipDip (in cincy) - vanilla with sprinkles of course :)

Happy 4th

Just realized I didn't post anything - Wyatt LOVED the parade. He
would stand in the middle of the street and scream when he saw the
old cars/trucks coming. It was so nice - and we got prime parade frontage!

Are We Really in Ohio?

So I'm kind of embarrassed to say I'd never been to Hocking Hills after
living in Athens for 4 years. It is absolutely beautiful and I kept thinking -
where are we? I guess the flatness of the cbus has tainted me.

I cannot actually get any pictures of Wyatt anymore b/c he's
always running all over - and my camera sucks :(

Movie Stah

It was requested that Tdog make a blog appearance.

Maybe not the best idea to put W's sunglasses on her. They will now be out
of site - otherwise she might have 1 less eye after W gets done with her.

and finally - the pool

The pool was so nice - no sand - no scary sea/sand creatures and just a few steps from the back door. This is where everyone spent most of their time. During nap time the adults enjoyed a few quiet cocktails - ah - it was so nice. Ok - quiet is relative - Todd was still there - seeing how much water he could get out of the pool and various other fun games.

I've decided for our next pool vacation I'm getting a life jacket

and he's never taking it off. Yes - I am one of those moms.

Definitely it was the highlight of Gavin's vacation. Jason caught a flounder,
and a spanish mackerel - Todd caught only Ladyfish - it was fitting :)

Before vacation last week we went out for Grandpa D's birthday.
I forgot a bib (huge surprise) but the napkin made the pictures that much better.

He liked the pasta and meatball just a little.

She's so cute

So I understand that it maybe hard to tell if little ones are boys or girls, but hello people - look at the outfits! We went up to our church festival yesterday to check it out and one of the workers called him a girl (this is not the first time it has happened). Mind you - he was also holding a golf club and had a football in the wagon with him, but whatever :)

SO the hat might look slightly girly - but I swear I got it in boys dept.

Summertime

So it's officially summer now b/c I went to the store and there were
the big tub 'o watermelons. After a nice mother's day dinner
we had some for dessert - it was a hit.
